Last Friday Bill had the pleasure of visiting two local schools, Leintwardine Endowed CE Primary School and Earl Mortimer College & Sixth Form Centre, where pupils enthusiastically took part in extended Question and Answer sessions with the area’s representative.

Over the course of the day Bill also met with Headteachers Mrs Anne Brandrick and Mr Adrian Long.

Afterwards he commented, ‘Leintwardine Endowed CE Primary School and Earl Mortimer College are both outstanding schools with an impressive record of achievement, inclusion and social enrichment.

Each places tremendous value on the wider learning experience. It is never too early for children to start engaging with the decision making process and I was deeply impressed by the range of perceptive, creative questions put forward today.

As an MP it is my job to represent people of all ages – not just those old enough to vote. Both visits offered an excellent opportunity to actively engage with young people in Herefordshire, hear their opinions and discuss the future.

Overall this has been a thoroughly enjoyable and delightful experience. I am grateful to everyone involved for making me feel so welcome.’
