Woolhope Woodheat is a home-grown Herefordshire business making waves on the national green scene.
The country’s very first “wood fuel co-operative” will install, service and maintain clean burning woodchip boilers in hard to heat buildings before supplying recipients with a steady stream of locally sourced fuel – theoretically helping to support Herefordshire’s ecosystems, reduce carbon emissions and lower heating costs in the process.
Funding is now required for a new initiative in Canon Frome Court. Anyone can join the co-operative and all members have a single vote. Its founders emphasise that all members receive a good annual return.
Bill whole-heartedly supports this scheme and all similar community orientated, sustainable, enterprises.
