At the end of November Bill visited Ledbury to present local children with hard-earned Tesco for Schools & Clubs equipment.

The handover, which took place at Tesco’s Orchard Lane branch, was overseen by store manager Martin Tucker. Teachers and pupils from Eastnor C of E Primary School, Bosbury CE Primary School, Bromesberrow St Mary’s C of E Primary School and Ledbury Primary School were all there on the day.

Bill said,

“Tesco for Schools & Clubs is a great initiative which has been providing local children with valuable extra resources for over twenty years.

Not only does the scheme give schools here in Herefordshire a welcome boost, but it brings communities together and leaves staff and students alike with a real sense of achievement.

I am delighted to be here today would like to congratulate everyone involved on their hard work, imagination and commitment.”

Since Computers for Schools was launched in 1992 it has provided over 45,000 schools and clubs with more than £185 million worth of equipment. Last year 58 schools and clubs in North Herefordshire collected a total of 261,495 vouchers – before 45 of then went on to order items valued at £7,354.
