Bill Wiggin MP was delighted to hear that North Herefordshire’s unemployment rate has fallen once again.

The number of unemployed claimants in Bill Wiggin MPs’ North Herefordshire, constituency, in October 2013 was 809 – representing a fall of 97 from August 2013 and of 232 compared with October 2012.

Bill Wiggin MP said: “The lower these figures fall, the more of my constituents there are at work in North Herefordshire – that is fantastic news.

“Times are still tough all across the country but these numbers show that North Herefordshire is performing well and there are jobs available for my constituents.”

October’s unemployment figure represents a rate of 2% of the economically active population aged 16 to 64, the 538th of the 650 UK constituencies. (1st = highest rate of unemployment, 650th = lowest rate of unemployment.)
