On 30 January 2015 Mr Bill Wiggin MP for North Herefordshire met with representation of The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT), Hereford Diocese and CCT Volunteers at St Mary’s Church, Wormsley.

During the visit to the Church, Colin Shearer, Director West of the CCT outlined to Mr Wiggin and all present the key features of the beautiful Norman church and how the CCT had been instrumental in ensuring the preservation of the building since May 1974.  Further discussions took place at Herefordshire Golf Club, who very generously provided refreshments for the visitors.

During his visit Bill Wiggin said ‘It was a pleasure to visit St Mary’s Church, Wormsley, and to see the hard work and commitment of the volunteers. Keeping traditional churches alive to be enjoyed by all is an enormous challenge which the CCT are rising to with impressive determination. I very much enjoyed meeting them and learning of their progress.’
