Bill Wiggin MP recently paid a visit to and award winning organisation in his North Herefordshire constituency.
The Bodenham Flood Protection Group, winners of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, was set up in 2008 as a result of the devastating floods the year before.
Bill Wiggin MP visited the group last week as they carried out their work to prevent further flooding by clearing local watercourses and ditches.
Joining Mr Wiggin and the group were members of the Environment Agency, who were there to hand out high-visibility vests for the members to wear as they work around the Parish.
Bill Wiggin MP said:
“It was a great pleasure to meet up with members of the Bodenham Flood Protection Group, and to see first-hand the invaluable work they do for the community. I am very proud to have such an outstanding organisation present in my constituency, and I look forward to supporting them in the years to come.”
