Bill Wiggin, Member of Parliament for North Herefordshire, has today welcomed new proposals that will see Post Office services restored to the communities of Doddington, Garden Village, Leintwardine and Middleton Scriven, with the introduction of a mobile service.
The mobile service is a tried and tested way of maintaining service to smaller communities that have suffered closures.
The Postmaster from Cleobury North Post Office is willing to offer mobile services to these locations, which is the most effective solution of restoring Post Office services to rural communities.
Bill Wiggin MP said “While the traditional Post Offices are being lost at least we are seeing efforts to maintain the services to our villages. I am pleased that these proposals will see Post Office services and retail products return to the most rural communities in my constituency. The Post Office is a valuable resource to many people and this mobile service shows that provisions are being made to help my constituents across North Herefordshire.”
