Sir Bill Wiggin, Member of Parliament for North Herefordshire, has met with the Home Secretary to ask when the Government will bring a Bill before the House to stop the boats.

Sir Bill spoke to the Home Secretary at a meeting of Midland MPs yesterday, Wednesday 22 February, on the same day that he asked a question regarding small boats legislation at Prime Minister’s Questions.

Stopping the boats is one of the Government’s five promises.

Sir Bill Wiggin said:

“I know that stopping the boats is the Home Secretary’s top priority, as it is for me.

“I will continue to press those who are responsible for the Bill to bring it before the House so that the Government can make good on its promises.”
