Brexit Deal
I write following the conclusion of the Prime Minister’s negotiations with the European Union. The Prime Minister has agreed the Withdrawal Agreement, and the associated Political Declaration with the European Union.

Press Regulation Campaign
Bill is fighting for fair, independent and low-cost arbitration when settling disputes concerning matters in newspapers, for both the published press and members of the public, which Parliament are yet to implement under Section 40 of the Courts and Crime Act 2013. Badges for Munitions Workers Campaign
Bill has launched a campaign to ensure that munitions workers who gave so much to the war effort, many of whom lived and worked in Herefordshire, are recognised by the government for their contribution to winning the wars. Read more about this campaign here.
Action on Flooding
Bill has been taking action to support local residents and businesses affected by flooding for many years now. In 2009 he took representatives from the Environment Agency on a series of visits to some of the villages and towns worst affected, and he continues to fight for better flood defences and prevention methods in Parliament. Fighting for Rural Safety
Bill is fighting to prevent needless deaths in the countryside and has presented a 10 Minute Rule Bill in Parliament urging for better recording of agricultural accidents. Bill has met with the Health and Safety Executive and has also appeared on Countryfile to discuss this issue. Read more here.
Campaign for the Fownhope Mast
Bill was shocked by the decision to withdraw the proposed mobile telephone mast in Fownhope, and has taken the matter up with the Government. You can read more about Bill’s meeting with the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport here.
Rail Services in North Herefordshire
One of Bill’s longest-standing campaigns has been the improvement of rail services in North Herefordshire. In the past he has helped to secure disabled access at Leominster Station and in 2012 he held a consultation on the new Rail Franchise at Ledbury Station. Bill regularly petitions the Government for improved services in North Herefordshire; you can read more about his latest work on this issue here.
Wind Turbines at Half Ridge Farm and New House Farm
Bill has been contacted by some of his constituents regarding the proposed single wind turbine at Half Ridge Farm, Acton Beauchamp, and the proposed single wind turbine at New House Farm, Pencombe. Whilst Bill does not have a vote on this matter as he is not a member of the Council’s planning committee, he will do his utmost to ensure that your views are represented.
