Home for Ukraine – Hosting Information Webinar – Thursday 16 March 7.00pm – 8.30pm
One year on… and the need for hosting is still as great as at the beginning. As you will have seen in the news, the war is still as fierce as ever and families are still being displaced.
Have you or someone you know thought about hosting? Did you register but was unable to be placed with a guest? Have you unanswered questions about hosting?
Join us for a Hosting Information Webinar on Thursday 16 March – 7.00pm – 8.30pm to find out the answers to these questions and more. During the event, hosts and guests will share their experiences and the Support for Ukraine Team will explain how they can support you through hosting, as well as answering any questions you may have.
Click on the link below to join us.
Please share with as many people as you can… each new host means safety for one person or a family from Ukraine.
If you would like any further information before the webinar, please email hosts-for-ukraine@hereford.anglican.org
We look forward to seeing you on Thursday 16th March.
Дякую тобі! Thank you!

Homes for Ukraine Scheme
The government has unveiled the ‘Homes for Ukraine Scheme’.
This offers a route to those who want to come to the UK who have someone here willing to provide them with a home.
The scheme will enable individuals, charities, community groups and businesses to volunteer accommodation and provide a route to safety for Ukrainians, and their immediate family members, forced to escape their homeland.
We will welcome as many arrivals as possible, based on the number of sponsors.
Ukrainian refugees arriving under this scheme will be able to:
- Live and work in the UK for up to three years
- Access healthcare, benefits, employment support, education, and English language tuition
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, the registration page can be found at the link below:

Herefordshire Refugee Appeal
In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis in the Ukraine, Herefordshire Community Foundation have launched its Herefordshire Refugee Appeal.
Donations will be used to fund the transport of essential goods from Herefordshire to Ukraine.
More widely, the fund will be used to support the needs of refugees (Ukranians and other displaced people) arriving into and living in Herefordshire.

Citizens UK has a long track record of supporting communities to welcome refugees, and will be working with charities and organisations in the Ukraine to develop matches.
This initiative is open to anyone wishing to offer accommodation and is not church specific. The offer is also open if you have already identified someone in the Ukraine but would like support with form-filling, travel arrangements and support once people arrive.
